Birth chart

Is a natal chart the same as a birth chart?
Yes. Astrologers say “natal chart”, the professional term, while most people say “birth chart”. Both mean the layout of the sky, with the positions of the planets and other points, at the minute and place you were born.
Which house system do you use?
Placidus houses. We also use the Tropical zodiac and the Swiss Ephemeris, with the time zone and daylight saving rules in force where and when you were born.
Do I need my exact birth time?
Yes, we need it to cast your exact chart. The Rising sign and houses move about a degree every four minutes. If you don’t know it, see how to find your birth time.
I don’t know my exact birth time. What should I do?
The best option is to ask your mother or check your birth certificate. If neither is possible, we wrote a guide on where to look: How to Find Your Time of Birth.

Your data

Is my birth data kept?
Yes. We keep your birth details, and your email if you give it, so we can send your preview, deliver your order, and resend your reading if you lose it. We keep them only for a limited time (about 18 months after a reading is delivered), then delete them. We don’t sell them or use them for anything else. The services that build and deliver your order see only what they need, which is listed in our Privacy Policy. Ask us and we delete them.

The reading

What’s in the Birth Chart Reading?
Nine chapters and your summary, around 6,000 words (about twenty pages), custom-written for your chart. This is a psychological portrait, not a prediction. It describes your personality and answers these questions from an astrological perspective: what you’re made of, what your Big Three combination means, what your wiring costs you, what you don’t show, how you love, what you really want, and where it’s going. The reading also includes your natal chart wheel, every planetary position and the most important aspects. It arrives by email as a PDF. All readings are written for adults. A reading bought for someone younger is written the same way.
Which countries can I order a reading from?
Readings are digital. The countries we sell to are listed on our Where we sell & ship page.
When will I receive my Birth Chart Reading?
Usually within about twenty minutes. If it’s not there in thirty minutes, please check your spam folder. Still nothing after an hour? Write to us. Your download link works for 12 months, so save the PDF somewhere safe.

Posters

Where do you ship your posters?
Posters ship to the countries listed on our Where we sell & ship page. Shipping is free. Some posters are shipped from abroad, and import taxes may then be charged on delivery. They are paid by the recipient. The page shows where this applies.
When does my poster arrive?
Each poster is custom-made. Estimated delivery is 8–13 days or 2–6 weeks, depending on your country, counted in calendar days from the day you order. Your country’s estimate is on our Where we sell & ship page and at checkout. When your poster ships, we email you the tracking details.
Can I return my personalized poster?
No. Each poster is custom-made from your own birth data, so it can’t be resold. If it arrives damaged or faulty, or doesn’t match the proof you approved, we will reprint it for free or give you a full refund, whichever you prefer. Just email us within 14 days of delivery, with photos of the poster and its packaging.

Changes and refunds

Can I change my details after ordering?
Readings: yes. If you made a small typo in your birth details, email us within 30 days of delivery and we’ll write you a new reading from the corrected details once, for free. Posters: usually not. Each poster is printed from the proof you approved and goes to print soon after you order. If you spot a mistake, contact us right away and we’ll do what we can, but once it has gone to print we can’t change it. A mistake that was on the proof you approved isn’t reprinted for free, so please check the name, date, time and place on the proof before you add it to the cart.
What’s your refund policy?
Posters: if yours arrives damaged or faulty, or doesn’t match the proof you approved, we reprint it for free or refund you in full, whichever you prefer. Readings: if something went wrong on our side, we fix it, and refund you if we can’t. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Horoscopes

Sun sign or Rising sign?
We recommend starting with your Rising sign, which is more accurate for general (non-personalized) horoscopes. Then read your Sun sign too, for the fuller picture. Don’t know your Rising sign? Use our free birth chart to find it.
Other sites give me a different sign.
You might have been born within a day of a sign change. Your exact birth time decides your Sun sign, and our free birth chart shows you which one it is.
When is the new month posted?
In the last days of the previous month.
Which time zone are the dates in?
Our horoscopes are written for US Eastern Time. This means a Full Moon on the 26th may fall on the 27th in Asia and Australia.

Tarot and rune draws

How do the daily draws work?
One tarot card and one rune per day. Each is your guide for the day. You can draw only once a day, and your draw keeps its energy until midnight, your local time. No account needed. It’s a small daily ritual, and it’s free.

Yes or No draws

How does a Yes or No reading work?
You hold one question that can be answered yes or no, draw a single card or rune, and read its answer. A reversed card or rune does not automatically mean no.
What is merkstave?
A rune that lands upside down is read as merkstave, or reversed: its energy is blocked or turned inward. Only the sixteen non-symmetrical runes can land that way. The eight that look the same either way up, and the blank, are always read upright.
