Your Sun sign is one line of a much longer story. The rest of it was written the moment you were born – the exact minute, the exact place, a sky that had never appeared before and will not appear again. That configuration belongs to you alone, and it holds far more about you than any twelve-part description ever could.
Capriastro builds every reading from that chart and nothing else. We work in the modern Western tradition, tropical zodiac and Placidus houses, and each reading is calculated from your own date, time and place of birth. Where your chart contradicts itself, the reading says so: an honest reading names the tension rather than smoothing it over. We would rather tell you something true and slightly uncomfortable than something flattering and vague.
There is a light way in. Capriastro has tarot and rune draws you can pull whenever you like, and monthly horoscopes by sign – free, and no birth time needed.
What comes back is language for things you have half-known about yourself for years – why certain patterns keep returning, where your real strengths sit, what you actually want underneath what you have settled for. Most people arrive with one question and leave with a clearer sense of which direction is theirs.
The birth chart calculator is free and always will be. The full natal reading is paid – about twenty pages of your placements, your aspects, and what they have been doing to your life. If you would rather keep your chart where you can see it, there are printed chart posters made from your own wheel. Both the reading and the poster make unusually good gifts: they are about one person and nobody else, which is rare in a present.
Start with the free chart, see what your planets are doing, and go as deep from there as you want to.
Anna writes the articles and monthly horoscopes on this site.
My father kept tarot and runes in the house. I went to the sky instead. I was twelve when I bought my first astrology book, and no one taught me after that. I followed it myself, planet by planet, and have been at it thirty-five years since.
My favorite technique is the chain of dispositors. Every planet in a chart is ruled by another planet, and if you keep following that thread it leads somewhere – one planet the whole chart reports to, and usually the thing a person cannot stop doing. That is what I look for first. It is the difference between a list of placements and a story.
What someone is actually driven by is rarely the thing they would name – it sits underneath the choices rather than in them. It shows up most clearly in the career a person builds, which is why I like reading for people who have not chosen theirs yet. The motivation comes first. The career is only where you can see it.
