This page explains how Capriastro LLC handles your personal data. Capriastro is operated by Capriastro LLC, a business based in the United States.
Email: privacy@capriastro.com, for anything about your data, including deletion requests
Every request described on this page goes to this email address.
We collect a name (your first name, or any name or nickname you like), your email address, and your birth date, birth time and birth place, because we need them to calculate your chart and write your Birth Chart Reading (your “Reading”).
Your data does not stay only with us. To produce a Reading, we send parts of it to outside companies: a chart-calculation service, an AI provider, a geocoding service, a payment processor, an email provider, and (for printed products) a printer. Section 6 sets out exactly who gets what. Once your data reaches those companies, they handle it under their terms and privacy policies, which we do not control.
If you only drew a free chart, we did not ask for your name or email. If you also asked for the free preview, we hold the birth details you entered and your email address, so we can send it to you. No name, no payment details.
We keep your chart data and your Reading for about 18 months after delivery. You can ask us to delete them sooner, whether you bought anything or not.
You give us:
| Data | Where from |
|---|---|
| A name: your first name, or any name or nickname you like. We never check it, and the chart does not depend on it | Checkout / order form |
| Name printed on the product, also your free choice, printed exactly as you type it | Order form (printed products only) |
| Recipient name for the shipping label. This one has to be real enough for the courier to deliver to | Checkout (printed products only) |
| Email address | Checkout / order form |
| Name, country and postcode for billing. No street address unless you buy a printed product | Checkout |
| Birth date, birth time, birth place | Order form |
| Shipping address, and a separate billing address only if it is different | Checkout (printed products only) |
| Phone number | Checkout (printed products only) |
| Emails and messages you send us | Support contact |
| The birth details you enter. Your email address too, only if you ask for the free preview. No name is asked for or stored | Free chart calculator |
Generated by us or our providers:
| Data | Notes |
|---|---|
| Computed chart data (planetary positions, houses, aspects, resolved coordinates and historical time zone) | Derived from your birth data |
| Your Reading: its text and PDF | See Section 7 |
| A dated record of when we sent your Reading and when it was downloaded | Kept with your order |
| Order and payment records | Amount, date, order ID. We never see or store full card numbers. |
| Technical and usage data | IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed. See Section 10 |
| Shipping and tracking details (carrier, tracking number, shipping and delivery dates) | From our printer, for printed products |
| Poster previews, including the proof you approve at checkout, and the print file for posters you buy | Previews are created even if you don’t buy. The proof and print file only for posters you buy. See Section 7 |
If you ask for the free preview, we store your email and the birth details you entered. We never ask for a name.
That email is used for your preview, plus at most a reminder or two about your Reading, and nothing else. No newsletter, no ongoing mailing list. Every reminder has an unsubscribe link, and one click ends them. If we ever want to send you anything beyond that, we will ask you separately and plainly first.
You can ask us to delete this at any time, exactly as described in Section 7. You do not have to have bought anything. Deleting your data also stops any reminders.
We treat birth data with particular care:
| Purpose | Data used |
|---|---|
| Calculate your chart | Birth data |
| Write your Reading | Chart data, the name you entered (any name or nickname) |
| Deliver your Reading and send receipts | The name you entered (any name or nickname), email |
| Take payment and prevent fraud | Order and payment data |
| Protect the site and checkout from abuse and fraud | Technical and usage data |
| Print and ship physical products | Recipient’s name, shipping address, print file |
| Let you download your Reading again | Stored chart data and Reading |
| Show that a Reading was delivered, if a payment is disputed | The dated record of when we sent your Reading and when it was downloaded |
| Check a complaint about a poster | The proof you approved at checkout |
| Respond to support requests | Correspondence |
| Keep tax and accounting records | Order records |
| Understand site usage | Google Analytics data (see Section 10) |
| Send a reminder or two about your Reading, if you got a free preview | Email (with an unsubscribe link in every one) |
| Send marketing emails, if you opt in | Name, email |
Where we rely on your consent, such as marketing emails, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing does not affect processing that already happened.
Personal data leaves our systems. Below is each recipient, exactly what it receives, and why.
Once data is transmitted to these providers, it is processed under their terms and privacy policies, not ours. We select providers carefully, but we do not control their internal handling, their sub-processors, or their retention. Read their policies if this matters to you.
To protect our forms from bots, we may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that a visitor is human. When it is in use, your browser loads a small script from Cloudflare, which looks at technical information from your browser to tell humans from bots. It does not track you across sites.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your birth data with advertisers or data brokers.
Your Reading. Your download link works for 12 months after your Reading is delivered. We keep your chart data and the text of your Reading for about 18 months after delivery, then delete them, and remove your birth details from your order at the same time.
The record of when we sent your Reading and when it was downloaded. Kept with your order.
Free preview. The preview PDF is deleted 14 days after we send it. If you never buy, we delete the preview text, your birth details and your email address 12 months after you asked for the preview.
Unconfirmed email addresses: deleted after 14 days. If you ask for the free preview but never click the confirmation link we send, we delete your address, and the birth details you entered with it, automatically.
Unfinished carts. If you start an order but don’t finish it, the cart holds your birth details, the name for the Reading and your email for about 2 days, then it is deleted.
Poster previews. If you design a poster but don’t buy it, we delete the preview 30 days after it was made. Until then it is not publicly accessible. If you do buy, the proof you approved (a small picture of your poster) stays with your order, so we can check any complaint against it.
Print files. The print file, the large file we send our printer, is deleted from our systems 90 days after your poster ships.
Orders and payments. Your order record (name, email, address, what you bought and what you paid) is kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Backups. Deleted data can stay in our backups for up to 30 days, until they’re replaced.
Everything else: kept only as long as it is useful, and then deleted.
Email privacy@capriastro.com with the subject line “Delete my data” and tell us the email address you ordered with.
We will delete your chart data, birth data, name, email, any stored Reading, any poster previews and print files we hold for you, and the record of your Reading emails and downloads within 30 days, and confirm when it is done. Once your data is deleted, your download link stops working and we can’t send your Reading again. If you want to keep it, download your PDF first.
We may have to keep basic order and payment records even after deletion, because tax law requires it. Those records do not include your birth data.
Some of your data is also held by the companies that help us run the service, such as our payment provider. They keep it under their own policies, and some records must be kept by law.
The text of your Reading is generated by an AI model from Anthropic, working from your computed birth chart and, for a paid Reading, the name you entered. Each Reading passes automated quality checks before it reaches you. Our Disclaimer explains what that means for accuracy.
We use Anthropic’s commercial API, which is governed by Anthropic’s commercial terms. Those terms, not this page, control how Anthropic handles the data we send it. You can read them at any time at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/commercial-terms.
When we last reviewed those terms on October 10, 2026, they stated that Anthropic does not use commercial API inputs or outputs to train its models (except feedback a customer voluntarily submits, and we never submit your Readings or data as feedback), and that API inputs and outputs are deleted from Anthropic’s systems within 30 days by default. Anthropic keeps material longer in limited cases, such as content its safety systems flag or where the law requires it.
Provider terms can change. We review them at least every 6 months and after any announced change, and we update the review date above each time. If a provider ever changed its terms in a way that significantly affects your data (for example, using it for training), we would treat that as a significant change to this policy and act under Section 13.
These are all about the personal data we hold about you: your birth details, your chart data, the name and email you gave us, your orders, and any Reading we still have. Whoever you are and wherever you live, you can ask us to:
Two things are not privacy requests, though people often ask for them here. If you mistyped your birth data and want a corrected Reading, we regenerate it, which means writing a completely new Reading. If you mistyped the shipping address on a poster order, that is a delivery matter. For either one, email us. The Refund Policy explains what we can do.
Depending on your US state, some of these may also be legal rights rather than just our policy. We offer them to everyone either way, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
We do not sell your personal information.
To ask for any of this, email privacy@capriastro.com. We complete requests within 30 days.
A note on identity checks. Because we do not have customer accounts, we identify you by the email address you ordered with. We may email that address to confirm the request came from you. We cannot act on a request for someone else’s data. If someone else ordered a Reading with your birth details, for example as a gift, you can still write to us. We will ask for enough detail to find it, and we may check with the buyer before we delete anything.
We use cookies and similar storage in your browser:
Google Analytics counts visits only. Its advertising features are switched off, and we do not use it for ads. Google collects information about your visits on our behalf. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings.
Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Our site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
Capriastro is not for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, email privacy@capriastro.com and we will delete it.
We use HTTPS across the site, so everything you send us travels encrypted. We restrict access to the systems holding chart data, and we never handle card details ourselves.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that a transmission or storage system will never be compromised. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
We may update this policy from time to time. The newest version is always on this page, with the date it last changed. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we will tell you by email or by a clear notice on the site, before or when it takes effect.
