The World
A true arrival – what you set out to do is genuinely finished.

Upright
The World is the last card of the Major Arcana, and it means exactly what that position promises: completion, wholeness, the long journey actually arriving. When it appears, something significant is reaching its true end, not the exhausted collapse of a thing abandoned, but the full-circle finish of a thing achieved: the degree earned, the project delivered, the healing integrated, the chapter closed with nothing important left undone.
This card marks the rare moment when effort, time, and growth resolve into something whole, and it asks you to actually stand in that completion rather than rushing past it to the next demand. The World also carries expansion: travel, wider horizons, a life grown larger than the one that started the journey.
When it lands, let the ending be celebrated. Acknowledge the distance traveled and the person the traveling made, take the fulfillment you’ve earned without discounting it, and know that every completed circle becomes, in time, the center of a larger one. Mark the completion formally: the dinner, the announcement, the closed folder. Only endings celebrated properly release their energy into the next beginning.
A milestone completes: the commitment sealed, the cycle closed, the whole of it intact. Celebrate what has been built before reaching for the next chapter; arrival deserves its moment.
A major professional cycle completes: the project delivered, the qualification earned, the goal achieved in full. Bank the gains, document the achievement, and let this success open the larger arena it’s earned you.
Finish something completely today: the last step, the final email, the actual end. Done, today, beats almost-done by a mile.
Reversed
The World reversed is completion withheld: the circle almost closed, with something blocking the last step. When it appears this way, an ending is incomplete: the project almost done, the degree unfinished, the relationship concluded but not resolved, the goal technically reached but hollow because some essential piece was skipped.
The card often marks the missing integration. You’ve done the thing but not absorbed it, arrived but not landed, finished the journey without letting it finish its work on you. It can point to closure that’s needed and hasn’t happened: the conversation never had, the grief never completed, the loose end that keeps the whole cloth from lying flat. Sometimes it marks delay: the completion coming, but requiring one more effort you’d hoped to skip.
The counsel is to find what’s still open and close it deliberately. Name what’s missing from the ending (the step, the words, the acknowledgment) and supply it. Do the last piece imperfectly rather than not at all; near-completion satisfies no one, and the next door opens only when this one is fully shut.
Something lacks closure: the unfinished conversation, the almost-commitment, the grief not fully grieved. Complete the circle deliberately; nearly-resolved is what keeps anything from fully resting.
The professional goal is nearly finished: one deliverable, credential, or conversation short. Finish it properly before starting anything new; incomplete successes pay only a fraction of what completed ones do.
One small unfinished thing is quietly draining you today. Find it and close it: the relief will outsize the task.
